Employing scale and abstraction Excavation utilizes symbology and artifice to speak of the effects of time and temporal existence in nature. A large fish hangs from the ceiling, mouth agape, draped in twine dipped in cement and painted with clay. Larger than human scale it hovers listlessly above the ground.
